Moses

19th century
Print
Hebrew Museum, Venice

As in many Christian portraits of the prophet, this Jewish print shows rays of light emanating from Moses' head. He has the same rays in the small image of the water miracle above.

The museum label says this is a "painting for eastern orienteering for the prayer." The segment on the lower left shows Jews praying at the Wailing Wall.
